Nowadays, colleges or universities paper works or any other academic written task require a proper sources to be used so that we can provide quality materials for future use. People usually depend on libraries or internet to work on their academic work. However, there are debates to know which sources between libraries and internet are better sources to be used in academic written work.

First and foremost, surfing the internet can be quick and easy. It is because surfing the internet to look up for information save time compared to walking to libraries. Therefore, internets are much convenient compared to libraries. On the other hand, sometimes internet sources can be unreliable. The user must look over for the information on the sources to cite a reliable reference. The ‘blogs’, ‘wikipedia’ and other sought of internet sources cannot be used in academic written work. Besides internet can be user friendly this is because, internet sources provide much information compared to libraries. Al we need to do is to search for information using the correct key terms, unlike in libraries the information that we are searching for can be limited and sometimes it is difficult to search for the information if the sources is not in the libraries.

On the other hand, libraries are good place to save people for losing concentrations on or academic work. This is because , in libraries there are only books, journals and so on and there are no entertainment provided whereas if we surf on internet to look up for information , people tend to switch our concentration to social network . Therefore, libraries are good in terms of a good concentration. Even though, much time are required to search for information in libraries, the sources in libraries are much reliable compared to internet because the citations are provided in the sources.

In conclusion, both libraries and internet are good in its own ways. The users need to be smart enough to choose and use the sources in an appropriate manner.

Title: Is writing an arduous task?

Nowadays, people are keen in searching for reading materials from bookstore to enhance their knowledge. Basically, the reading materials consist of pages with words written in it. We might wonder how the authors would have write so much in order to express his or her idea. Some of us might be good at expressing our ideas verbally whereas some prefer expressing their ideas, emotions and etc on a piece of paper. However, writing is essential and it has become a necessity for everyone to produce a good piece of writing in today’s day.

Some of us might find writing as an arduous task, as we do not really enjoy holding a pen or pencil and jotting down something that never make sense. Somehow, we all should learn to hold the pen or pencil and produce a quality piece of reading material. This is because, without writing we cannot express our own ideas to others. For example, if Albert Einstein did not write his formula’s , we might not have discover such formula’s till today , as we cannot express everything verbally .

Writing is extremely important in academic. We students depend solely on lectures and reading materials. The notes that we are referring to is a reading material. We might not have any sources when the exam is around the corner. In each and every part of life, we need to write and learn to write systematically. For example, if we do not write in our expository writing class, we will end up in retaking the subject the following semester.

In my opinion, writing is not tough task that required energy. We should learn to write and it is easy if engaged in reading. At times, practice makes things perfect.  As a student, I am learning and will consistently learn to write well. In conclusion, writing can be learned and it is essential to make things in order.

Task 3 : Cohabitation

Cohabitation is widely known because it has become a norm in today’s people’s lifestyle. We faced so many changes everyday from those days till today, and cohabitation is in the list. According to the online dictionary, cohabitation is defined as ‘the state or condition of living together as husband and wife without getting married’. There are advantage and disadvantages of cohabitation to be discussed.

Cohabitation plays an important role in forming a stronger bond between unmarried couples. It is because cohabitation helps the unmarried couples to find out whether they would be compatibility marriage couples in future. In the other hand, compatibility between partners is important to reduce the risk of being apart in the future. Thus, compatibility between partners is essential before stepping into the marriage life.

Besides, cohabitation provides a good opportunity for couples to prepare for marriage and prevent future problems. Complications might arise in managing a good and healthy marriage life. Therefore, cohabitation helps the couples to encounter any complications that they might face in the future. Besides that, it is undeniable that cohabitation does contribute in forming a good understanding between the couples before their marriage.

Apart from the advantages of cohabitation, we should also consider about the negative aspects of cohabitation. There are always questions rising on increase in divorce cases, and there are many facts that we can come out for it. Cohabitation is one of the reasons on why divorce cases is taking place in today’s day. It is proven that cohabitation helps in creating a good understanding between the couples, however, there are also issues supporting that divorce cases take place because of cohabitation. When boredom take place in a relationship, the relationship can no longer stand long. The couples can no longer have the love, patience and compassionate that they had before.

In conclusion, cohabitation has its advantages and disadvantages. People are responsible in choosing the way they wanted to live. Love has its answer for good and healthy lifestyle to bring up future leaders tomorrow. 

Task 2 : Letter

TASK 2: LETTER

  Dear Thurga ,

  How are you doing? You must be excited right now, waiting for New Year, isn't it? Marvelous things are waiting for you this year, and all you have to do is, to work hard and smart to get things lift up.

  Thurga, you are going to be in cloud nine once u read the next important thing that I am going to mention. Any guess? Well, you are going to meet your soul mate this upcoming year. The best thing is the person that u going to meet will be looking good and meets all the criteria that you are looking for. Isn't it a good thing?  Besides, you are going to pass all the subjects that you took this semester. What I meant by passing is, u can get an A for all subjects if and only if you work hard and smart.  

On the other hand, there are lot more surprises waiting for you, be prepared for it. First and foremost, you are going to fly to Sydney for a week holiday. It is like a dream come true, right. Besides, you might fall in sick this year for twice if you did not take good care of your health. You will probably seek your family doctor for his assistance. Therefore, you should know what you have to do in order to keep yourself healthy.

 As you wished, you will get a car for your birthday and it will be your daddy’s present for your day. So, for this New Year, you do not have to rise up as early as 5 am to travel all the way from Puchong to Cheras. Also, you must be worrying bout your assignments this semester. Do not worry much as you will do well if you prepare your paper work in advance before the submission date.

This year is really a good one for you. Wish for the best and work hard to achieve what you dream for.

Task 1 : Resolution

TASK 1: RESOLUTION

Each and every year, once I know that the year is going to end, I will come out with many resolutions to make my life way better. Resolutions will be running throughout my mind, yet, only some will come true after I have worked on it. Therefore, resolutions are my first task to do every New Year.

The first resolution that I have jotted down on my very first page of my diary is to save money. Saving money will be a difficult task for almost all of us as we wanted to shop almost everywhere. So, I planned to save a little penny for my future use, maybe 10 bucks, every week. Secondly, I wish I could spend more time with my family and friends. Almost all the year, this particular resolution will be in my list and always will be in because I personally think that good relationship is one of the ways to live a happy life. Moreover, spending a quality time with family members and friends is not going to harm us in any ways.

Besides, the most important thing ever in my list is to get things well-organized. I hate messing up with things, especially on my assignments. I will make sure that I complete my assignments before the due date. I don’t do late submission as I don’t like work bundling up. Other tan that, healthy living style is a key to success, therefore, I thought of switching to healthy lifestyle this year. Healthy lifestyle here means I must lose at least 3 kilograms, and I think I can do it. Also, I should sleep on time because waking up as early as 5am for morning classes after a hectic daily routine of the day before it, is not easy for me. Last but not least, I must spend lesser time on social network, “facebook”, as I am really wasting much time on “facebook” everyday, using “facebook” everyday for study purpose is not a problem but when I use it for unnecessary matters, it really creates problems.

I prefer writing than speaking. There are no reasons behind it. The only reason that I can come out with is, maybe because I am passive. The first reason why I chose expository writing is because I wanted to further improve my writing manner .My resolution for this subject is obviously passing with flying colors by scoring an A, improve on my vocabulary and to learn the techniques behind writing. These are the resolutions that I have come out it, for this New Year, 2013.
