COHABITATIO N
Cohabitation is widely known
because it has become a norm in today’s people’s lifestyle. We faced so many
changes everyday from those days till today, and cohabitation is in the list.
According to the online dictionary, cohabitation is defined as ‘the state or
condition of living together as husband and wife without getting married’.
There are advantage and disadvantages of cohabitation to be discussed.
Cohabitation plays an important
role in forming a stronger bond between unmarried couples. It is because
cohabitation helps the unmarried couples to find out whether they would be
compatibility marriage couples in future. In the other hand, compatibility
between partners is important to reduce the risk of being apart in the future.
Thus, compatibility between partners is essential before stepping into the
marriage life.
Besides, cohabitation provides a
good opportunity for couples to prepare for marriage and prevent future
problems. Complications might arise in managing a good and healthy marriage
life. Therefore, cohabitation helps the couples to encounter any complications
that they might face in the future. Besides that, it is undeniable that
cohabitation does contribute in forming a good understanding between the
couples before their marriage.
Apart from the advantages of
cohabitation, we should also consider about the negative aspects of
cohabitation. There are always questions rising on increase in divorce cases,
and there are many facts that we can come out for it. Cohabitation is one of
the reasons on why divorce cases is taking place in today’s day. It is proven
that cohabitation helps in creating a good understanding between the couples,
however, there are also issues supporting that divorce cases take place because
of cohabitation. When boredom take place in a relationship, the relationship
can no longer stand long. The couples can no longer have the love, patience and
compassionate that they had before.
